Role of Team Leader Theory

An effective leader displays trustworthiness, clear communication skills, full participation and self-management; skills that are paramount for them to lead from the front.

Team leaders can be the creators of choice and freedom and in addition be role models for how other team members should behave.

Powell states, “A team rarely demonstrates more passion or behaves more positively that its leader. Similarly, cynical leaders produce, and therefore deserve, cynical teams.  Innovative, creative and developmental leaders help to produce creative, innovative and developed followers.  A team that is enthusiastic, energetic and innovative will have at its heart a leader who is correspondingly so.”

This theory relates to Katniss and through her achievements influence Peetra and the members of District 12 to be able to join together and look towards breaking Capitol’s restraint on them, creating a positive outlook for the future.
